Blue Milk & Cereal: Which Origin World Do You Like Best?

No day would be complete without the breakfast of Jedi: Blue Milk & Cereal.  Every morning, the team at Ask A Jedi will get Force-induced thoughts coursing through your head with delicious issues from around the galaxy! Join in the discussion below to make your voice heard!

This is a monumental edition of Blue Milk & Cereal. Why? It’s the first time we can ask a question about the game that I know each and every one of you has an opportunity to answer!

This weekend is of course the big, “open” beta weekend for Star Wars: The Old Republic, where everyone finally has a chance to try out TOR for the first time.  Additionally, the NDA drop last week allowed fans to get a closer look from all of the beta videos and live streams. Odds are by now, you have either played or watched some portion of the origin world story from a particular class!

With that in mind, and assuming that you indeed have seen the some or all of the origin worlds, we want to know which one is your favorite. Is it Tython with its Flesh Raiders and Jedi artifacts? Is it Hutta; a wretched hive of scum and villainy? Korriban and its dark, mysterious secrets? Or the war-torn landscape of Ord Mantell? Let us know!

Which origin world is your favorite?

The Nerfherder’s Guide To The Galaxy: Korriban

From the crystal-laden caverns of Ilum to the Jundland Wastes of Tatooine, this is your guide to discovering the distant worlds and locales of Star Wars:The Old Republic. Welcome to The Nerfherder’s Guide to the Galaxy!

“To many, the heart of the Empire is Dromund Kaas. But Kaas City is far too loud to hear the will of the Force. To know the rage locked away in the swirling frenzy at the center of the galaxy, you need only kneel in the Valley of the Dark Lords. Hear the ancient whispers of our ancestors around you, and remember what it is to be Sith.”
– From the Teachings of Lord Kraius

Sith Academy

While Korriban may not be the capital of the Sith Empire, to many it is its heart and soul. Located in the “north-east” region of the Outer Rim, the names of few worlds inspire as much fear in citizens of the Republic as that of the desolate tomb-world of Korriban.

Tens of thousands of years before the Treaty of Coruscant, before the founding of the Jedi Order, the Sith were already an old and powerful civilization. An indomitable brutality and innate connection to the Dark Side of the Force allowed the Sith to resist invasions from both the Killiks and the Infinite Empire of the Rakata. Using Rakatan technology, the ancient Sith spread out from their home world and began building an Empire.

E3 2011 – New Cinematic Trailer Revealed: Return

Today as part of Day 0 of E3 2011, BioWare released an all-new, if highly anticipated, cinematic trailer for Star Wars: The Old Republic!

There was some speculation in the weeks leading up to the event that there would be a new cinematic, however there were skeptics (myself included) that didn’t think they’d do another just yet. But, I’ve never been happier to be wrong.

But this isn’t just any old awesome cinematic trailer. This is the actual intro trailer that will play when we log into the game for the first time!

As was the case for the previous two cinematic trailers (Deceived, and Hope,) Blur Studios handled the production duties for this one. I know I’m not alone when I say that I would pay good money to see an entire Star Wars movie made by Blur.

Anyway, no words I can write will do justice for what you will see below. Just click and watch!
